Armada ARV 116 JJ Skis

Size Guide
Ski Size Chart

Picking the right ski size depends on your skiing ability, style of skiing, and height/weight.  For example, a park skier would choose a totally different size of ski than a powder skier.  So take a look at our ski size chart to find your perfect fit.

Armada has learned a lot about the balance between taper and rocker, and the brand new Armada ARV 116 JJ Ski is the culmination of all that knowledge.  This third generation of the iconic JJ Skis, moves the contact point behind the ski's widest point in order to create more consistent turn initiation in deep snow.  What's more, Armada also implemented a new 3D base technology called Smear Tech that delivers the smoothest, most surf-like experience to date.  AR75 sidewall construction provides improved edge pressure and dampening, and a new 3d base combines the advantage of no-catch edges with the durability of a steel-built full edge wrap.  A Carbon-Kevlar Strut adds some extra snap and energy to the JJ without adding any extra weight. When the snow starts getting deep, Armada's AR Freestyle Rocker has a generous amount of rocker in the tip for extra flotation, with camber underfoot that adds grip to the snow, and rocker in the tail for added smearability.  It all adds up to the ultimate backcountry freestyle ski and the next evolution of the game-changing powder legend.

  • Dimensions139/116/135 [185cm]
  • Turn Radius: 18m [185cm]
  • AR Freestyle RockerRockered tips and tails are combined with positive camber underfoot to allow the ski to charge with ease through unpredictable snow and maintain a solid carve when asked to do so. Turn the whole mountain into your playground.
  • Flex Pattern (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) – Tip: 6 | Waist: 7 | Tail: 6.5
  • Pop-Lite Core – Lightweight wood is combined with a higher density, stiffer species in a horizontal laminate to create an impossibly lively ski that has all the power needed for boosting to new elevations.
  • Carbon Kevlar Struts – Carbon and Kevlar stringers used in the tip and/or tail to add pop and extend life.
  • AR50 Sidewalls – Cap construction in the tip and tail, and sidewall underfoot, balancing performance characteristics with lower swing-weight and increased durability.
  • S7 Base – Durable and low maintenance, with a speed additive for quickness.
  • Smear Tech – A 3D beveled base creates stability and float while sliding forwards, backwards, left or right.
  • 1.7mm Impact Edge – Light, strong, and heat-treated for durability.
